Distinguishing Feature

I have fallen madly in love with whisky.

To be much more specific, I have fallen in love with Single Malt Scotch whisky, and I do not believe there is a known cure.

Fortunately, this is one of those afflictions that I would choose not to remedy anyway.  It is something that is a part of me now.  Something that almost helps others identify with me too…kind of like a distinguishing feature…like Cindy Crawford’s mole.  (perhaps I am showing my age a bit here)

Although I am still fairly new to wonderful world of scotch, I am a research hound that tends to learn at a rapid pace.  That being said…I am also humble enough to acknowledge that on a scale where some have been enjoying Scotch for over 50 years, I am still a ‘newbie’, and have a great deal to learn and experience on this wonderful journey.

Perhaps you are on a journey of your own.  I know that this will be a lifelong trip for myself, and would love to share anything and everything I discover along the way.  This blog is partly a way to keep track of my journey, kind of like leaving little breadcrumbs along a trail to help me find my way back home at some point.  Maybe if I am lucky, I will get to hear about the journey, notes and anecdotes of other whisky lovers along the way!!
